The final days of our vacation (that spontaneously turned into exploration tour of Pirot, Stara Planina and lake Zavoj) saw us lodged at the apartment of Dencic family. A stroke of luck guided us there – we planned another lodging house which wasn’t available at the moment so I dialed a number I had written down just in case.
Turned out it was the best solution we could hope for and for three days we enjoyed the grand view of the lake, the calm atmosphere filled with scent of pine and flowers, the sounds of birds and crickets… Also the delicious home-made meals and hospitality and generosity of our hosts. On top of all that, that little house between mountains and lake is also filled with ancient artefacts just begging to be sketched and washed in watercolors. So I did it with great pleasure.
As usual, drawn in THE PERFECT SKETCHBOOK with PILOT PRERA fountain pen and DE ATRAMENTIS DOCUMENT BROWN ink; washed with mix of DANIEL SMITH, OLD HOLLAND, SCHMINCKE HORADAM and WHITE NIGHTS watercolors. To conclude, a few more images of beautiful surroundings which calls for more and more exploring and sketching.
